内容简介
本书根据中等职业技术学校计算机专业学生对计算机学习的需要和实际工作后对计算机英语的需求编写而成。根据“以应用为目的，以够用为度，以实用为主”的方针，旨在培养中等职业院校计算机类各专业学生在实际应用中专业阅读和理解的能力，培养学生逐步具备以英语为工具在职业范围内运用英语的能力。
本书与计算机专业学生所要求的技能结构有机结合，强化专业英语的应用技能。全书共三个部分，十个单元。第一部分属于基础部分，包含了计算机专业英语简介和计算机专业英语的词汇学习。第二部分是深入部分，包含了计算机办公软件、多媒体应用、软件程序词汇的学习。第三部分是以网络为平台介绍与网络相关以及病毒防御的实用英语。本书选材力求紧跟计算机的发展步伐，做到内容新、知识面广、词汇量大，同时内容也不深奥。每单元配有相应的词汇、注释、习题。提高部分包含了计算机专业英语阅读材料及BBC英文学习小对话，供学生自我测试及课后阅读之用。附录A列出了计算机相关的53个英文单词缩写，以供学习查阅。
